Best Game of the Year Winner: January 16, 2015 versus the Golden State Warriors

The season certainly didn’t go as planned and wins were tough to get, especially when half the roster missed the start of the year. But when KD and Russ came back to the lineup, there was finally hope that the Thunder would be as good as ever. It wouldn’t last but for a few key games throughout the season, there was just enough evidence to show that Oklahoma City could have been a legitimate title contender this season. And, with just a little bit of luck and perseverance, they’ll be that next season and beyond.

Riggs: January 16th vs. Golden State Warriors- This was one of the few games where Oklahoma City was firing on full cylinders. Durant had 36 points on 14-of-18 shooting, Westbrook had a ridiculous triple-double with 17 points, 16 assists and 15 rebounds and Ibaka had a sensational performance with 27 points. That OKC team looked like title contenders.

Stephens: January 16th, vs. Golden State WarriorsWith a fully healthy Thunder Squad they beat the best team in the league. This was the best game of the season to me because this was the only time the Thunder played the Warriors at full strength and they won. I believe this offers optimism for next year. When OKC is healthy and with KD, Russ, and Ibaka playing they can compete and beat any team in the NBA.

Lambert: at Charlotte – Only because I was there and it was my first Thunder experience live.

Woods: December 18th, at Golden State Warriors – Durant put up 30 point on 16 shooting possessions and in under 19 minutes. Even though the Thunder ended up losing the game, seeing last year’s Durant was a sight for sore eyes.

Ramil: January 18th, at Orlando Magic – It was a historically-good shooting performance and I saw it live as media.

Van Sant: New Year’s Eve Game vs. Phoenix – With the Thunder still below .500, Kevin Durant returned after a quick rest to torch the Sun for 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists and give OKC a win in double-overtime after Russell Westbrook was ejected.
