Realistic expectations time: give a prediction for how this season ends for OKC.

Ahmed: The Thunder reach the NBA Finals. Most people will say this is a stretch, but why? Have you forgotten that this team won 60 games two years ago and, in my opinion, was a Beverley collision away from hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy? This team is even deeper and has a real shot at finally capturing what has eluded them for years.

Haringey: I think this team is going to make it to the Western Conference Finals, but the season will end there. The Thunder will lack the defensive chops to handle either Golden State or the Clippers.

Lambert: Championship. I’m all in with this team. The talent is there and the time is now. At worst they should be in the conference finals, but when you have as much talent and depth as OKC does, a championship is expected.

Woods: Conference Finals, probably. Most scenarios that play out in my head have the Thunder having a successful season, but it’s the Western Conference. The Warriors are the clear favorites, the Spurs are the Spurs and the Thunder are probably on par with those two teams in terms of talent. But even if the Thunder finish as high as third in the Western Conference regular season, that doesn’t leave an easy first-round series, and would guarantee that they would play one of the top two seeds in the Conference Semi-finals.

Livingston: At this moment it’s hard for me to say OKC is going to win the West with such a strong conference. Right now, I’m going to say the Thunder gets to the Western Conference Finals but fall to the Warriors due to not having home court advantage.
