Tyson Chandler

This would be the perfect conclusion to one of the biggest what-ifs in Thunder history. It’s safe to say Chandler has rounded out into far better player than the one who somehow failed his Thunder physical in 2009. The 7’1 center has been hampered by injuries so far this season but showed how effective he can be when healthy in losses to OKC and the Spurs last week.

More from Thunder Rumors

This trade is highly unlikely to occur for many reasons including Chandler’s current health and the Thunder’s overall roster stability. However, if the Thunder do end up having a terrible stretch nearing the deadline and Chandler’s health stops being a liability, both teams could find themselves pulling the trigger. The Thunder would see themselves adding a star center to pair alongside Ibaka, allowing for Serge to serve more in his preferred stretch PF role. The struggling Suns would get significant cap relief in the trade, especially if they were to receive a package centered around the expiring Dion Waiters, Steven Adams, and Novak.

Again, this is a huge stretch and by no means do I think that any of these teams are seriously considering this at the moment.

Imagine watching these go down inside Chesapeake nightly.
