The loss to the Cavaliers on Sunday was the team’s worst at home this season and arguably the worst period. How do you ultimately view that loss?
Cole Hixon (@cole_hixon): It’s concerning. Teams who compete for championships don’t get blown out at home. Occasionally you have an off night in the NBA it happens, but after a tough loss on Friday, against the best team in the East it’s quite concerning they didn’t even compete.
Josiah Barbee (@JosiahBarbee): The loss to the Cavs on Sunday was jarring. I don’t remember a healthy Thunder team getting punched in the mouth like that since Game 1 of the Clippers series two years ago. They bounced back and won that series, so hopefully they can get back on track quickly. It also seems worse coming off such a devastating loss to the Pacers on Friday.
Matthew Hallett (@myrhpet): The loss was a concern. The starting unit played well with the exception of Waiters, more on that later. We just could not get the stops required. Roberson coming back will really help that. Stopping JR Smith from getting hot at the start would have had a major impact on this game.
David Ramil (@dramil13): Ultimately, it’s just a regular-season loss but it’s also indicative of OKC’s problems all year long. They’ve squandered opportunities to make important statements and they haven’t shown consistent growth, perhaps even taking steps back rather than forward. If they fall short of expectations, this could be the game we could look back at see where things started to fall apart.
Shawn Woods (@shawn_woods15): I don’t know how much there is too add that hasn’t been said. It is just 1 of 82, but it’s never fun seeing the Thunder get smacked by a top team.
