10. Durant’s 54-Point Game

In today’s NBA it seems like the only way to be considered one of the best is to be one of the league’s best scorers. Luckily for Kevin Durant this isn’t much of an issue. He made this clear on Jan. 17, 2014 when he went out and dropped a career high 54 points on the Golden State Warriors.

In the game Durant finished 19-28 while shooting 5-9 from 3-point range and also going 11-13 from the free throw line. The game was one of his three 50-point games of his career, and the second most points ever scored for the Seattle/Oklahoma City franchise, behind Fred Brown’s 58 in 1974.

As you can see from the video when Durant is feeling it there’s just no stopping him. He’s still in his prime and likely has many more impressive scoring nights to come. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sets a new career high in scoring a couple more times before he’s done leaving his mark on the league and the game of basketball.
