Durant Prepares for Free Agency

For months now the NBA world has been speculating on where NBA superstar Kevin Durant should go during the 2016 NBA free agency. Over half of the 30 teams in the league have had their names brought up at one point or another, and everyone seems to think they know where the best fit for Durant would be.

Well, late last night Kevin Durant’s representatives announced that they and Durant had accepted “recruiting meetings” with three NBA teams for the start of free agency on July 1st. Those teams are the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. Soon after that announcement Durant’s reps said that they were also trying to solidify meetings with the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.
These two announcements have given fans around the league a short list of teams that Durant is considering. Early sources say Oklahoma City remains the favorite team to win the Durant sweepstakes, but not his definite destination yet. The Thunder have made the first move at landing Durant by making a blockbuster trade on draft night. That being said, here is a look at the chances of the other five teams on the list and the pitch they can make to land Durant.
