10. Derrick Rose

Yes, we’re kicking this list off with a bang. Now you might be thinking to yourself adding Derrick Rose makes no sense. We already have a MVP caliber point guard in Russell Westbrook. Plus, Derrick Rose has a history on knee injuries and seems as though he’s permanently listed as day-to-day. So, why would this signing be in OKC’s benefit?

Those who followed the Bulls closely last season know why. Derrick Rose is coming back into form. Last season started off rocky for Rose. First, he was injured in training camp. Then, he played the first half of the season with double vision and nagging injuries. But, over the course of the second half of the season Rose’s game improved, even though the chemistry between Jimmy Butler and Rose did not.

Rose is going to play for the New York Knicks this season and most likely be the third best player on the team behind Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony.

Next year teams will not line up to give Rose another 20$ million per year deal with his injury history and his stats will not justify that price tag either.

This makes him the perfect candidate to play backup point guard to Westbrook. It’s less minutes for Rose, which increases his durability, as he’ll experience less wear and tear on his body, and he can give a spark to the second unit of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Who desperately need one.
