Oklahoma City Thunder: Top 10 2017 Free Agency Targets
9. Otto Porter
If you live in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, your familiar with Otto Porter.
Otto Porter has improved dramatically since last season. He increased his 3-point percentage from the year before from 33.7% to 36.7%. His free throw percentage has increase by roughly 10% since his rookie year, three years ago. He’s averaged more points, assists, and rebounds per 36 minutes than the previous season.
The best part is Porter has been consistently improving each year.
With shooting guard Bradley Beal coming back, hopefully stronger than ever after missing tons of time with injuries last season, Porter will be the third option for the Washington Wizards. This is the perfect role for him as he steps into his second full season as a starter. He can continue to grow as a player with John Wall and Bradley Beal getting the majority of attention.
Since he is a third option, Porter will get lost in the shuffle during next year’s offseason unless the Wizards make some noise in the playoffs, which is unlikely.
Porter will not command a huge price tag and can help to fill out the Small Forward position as a credible starter.
