The Oklahoma City Thunder are in desperate need of someone who can shoot from 3-point range. Redick shot a career high 47.5% from three last season. He’s an excellent free throw shooter with a percentage of 88.8 last season. Also, Redick’s not just all 3-point shooting. He shot 48.4% from 2-point range. He is an immediate offensive threat as soon as he steps on the court. The defense is forced to stay glued to him. This limits the help other defenders receive guarding other players.

J.J. Redick is getting up there in age as he is 32 years old. But, the great thing about Redick is his game is not based on his athleticism. Great Shooting also tends to stay with players as they age. Ray Allen and Jason Kidd can attest to this.

The one downside and why Redick is only number 8 on this list is his defense. He is already an average at best defender and getting older will only make him more of a defensive liability. The Thunder would have to make up for it by either having a Small Forward who can defend or rotating Redick in an out the lineup based on the situation.
