5. Charlie Villanueva Interrupting Westbrook’s and Payne’s Dancing

Westbrook and Cameron Payne have been known to dance before the game as part of their pregame ritual. However, on this particular night Charlie Villanueva decided to break up the action before the beginning of Game 2 in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs.

This little scuffle may have benefited the Dallas Mavericks because they went on to win Game 2 vs the Thunder with a score of 85-84. Westbrook had 19 pts, 6 asts, and 14 rebounds in Game 2, while Villanueva didn’t play at all.

Westbrook made comments after this game about Villanueva saying “That’s for the guys who don’t play”.

To which Villanueva responded via Fox Sports News by saying “If you want to go dancing, stuff like that, go to a nightclub. Go to a club and dance. Go to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and be a dancer”.

This was not the first time Villanueva and Westbrook got into a scuffle. During a game back in January, 4 technical fouls were given out when the Mavericks played the Thunder and Charlie Villanueva grabbed Westbrook by the throat.

In the following Game 3, the Thunder won 131-102. Westbrook had 26 pts and 15 asts. Villanueva had 2pts.

The Thunder eventually went on to win the series 4 games to 1.
