4. Westbrook Laughing at Steph Curry Underrated Defender Question

After Game 5, when the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Golden State Warriors 120-111, Westbrook and Durant were asked whether they thought Curry was an underrated defender.

Westbrook’s response was laughter.

His response made sense then.

Especially, considering Westbrook shot 40% from the field, while scoring 31 points, and had 8 assists in that game.

We all know Westbrook is an extreme competitor. With the Thunder up 3-2 after dominating the Warriors most of the series, Westbrook probably had great confidence going into Game 6 on the Thunder’s home court.

Unfortunately for Westbrook, Curry would get the last laugh in this series.

The next game Curry played amazing.

Curry had 31 pts, 9 asts, and 10 rebs.

This game shifted the momentum of the series back into the Warriors favorite headed back to Oracle Arena in Oakland for Game 7, where the Warriors won 96-88, with Curry scoring 36 pts and 8 asts.

The Warriors came back from the 3-1 deficit against the Thunder to make it back to their second straight NBA Finals.
