3. Westbrook Wins All-Star Game MVP

All-Star weekend is one of the premier events in the NBA. Celebrities from every corner of the entertainment world gather to the chosen city for the weekend.

There are skills competitions, three-point shooting contest, and the famous dunk contest.

Usually by the time the real All-Star game takes place on Sunday, most people have tuned out.

Why?

Because the All-Star game has zero defense until the last few minutes of the 4th quarter.

But, what happens when you get a player with an outrageous high motor in the All-Star game.

You get Westbrook.

The intensity he played this game with makes no sense. However, it showed two things for certain.

For one, Westbrook never plays at half speed.

Second, he had something to prove.

It definitely felt as though Westbrook wanted to remind the world that he’s one of the best players in the league.
