2. Westbrook vs The Spurs

Westbrook played amazing against the Spurs in the Playoffs last season.

Tony Parker and Patty Mills had no chance defending Westbrook.

The numbers Westbrook put up against the Spurs are ridiculous. Last year in the Playoffs he had four games where he had 28 or more points, two games of 30 or more. He had two games scoring less than 16 points, but in one of those games he had 15 assists and 7 rebounds.

This adds up to the Spurs defending Westbrook well for 1 game out of 6.

But, even though this series only lasted 6 games, every game was a close.

Winning the series against the Spurs was the highlight of the Thunder’s season.

There weren’t many people who thought they would beat the Spurs.

The Spurs had the second best record in the Western Conference and the Thunder were very inconsistent during the regular season.

The Thunder winning this series represented the Thunder finally getting over that San Antonio Spurs hump.
