Lauvergne had an impressive preseason, showcasing his defensive ability and perimeter touch. My favorite Joffrey stat: he shot 89.9% from the free throw line last year.

The Frenchman has extended his range past the three-point line for the first time; he made one of his five attempts this preseason. The numbers don’t look great, but the form is extremely fluid. Lauvergne has been working with Ersan Ilyasova on the shot, and it’s only going to improve as the season goes along.
