Welcome to Views from OKC, Thunderous Intentions’ daily roundup of the best OKC Thunder stories across the web.

New to Views from OKC? Glad to have you here, and I hope you’ll make this a daily destination. Well, let’s get started!

A good ole week in review for a not-so-good week

“With all the mishaps, misfortune, and misadventure of the past week, at least the Thunder is currently enjoying a four-day breather before jumping back into the deep-end vs. Utah this upcoming Monday night.”

Imagine if the Thunder didn’t have this four-break stretch? They’d most likely have at least one other game without Steven Adams. More importantly, they wouldn’t have time to figure out the troubles arising. Besides the first half against Golden State, the effort was poor on the defensive end this week. If Adams is out against Utah, Monday against the Jazz will almost certainly be a third straight loss.

An Alex Abrines-Anthony Morrow story

“Abrines is an international rookie on a multi-year deal with a secure future. Morrow is a Charlotte-born veteran in the final year of his contract. But in competition for minutes at shooting guard, there’s camaraderie, signified by one of the most unique sideline celebrations in the NBA.”

This warms my heart. I love Alex Abrines; but he seems a little goofy. Sure Adams and Enes Kanter have adopted the 23-year old rookie, but those are international players. Having a veteran player-especially one that you are competing for minutes with-step in and help Abrines feel more comfortable has to be a factor in his recent success.

I must go on public record now. I do not want Anthony Morrow photoshopped out of this picture. As the originator of the beard celebration, he deserves to be in this photo. But Domantas Sabonis? Get that man out of there.

This matters people. Our wonderful staff writer Jeremy Lambert detailed earlier this season how awful the Thunder twitter account is…obviously they didn’t listen. We are in a day and age where social media is the most direct access into an organization. OKC has used their social media to prove they are the most boring organization in the league. Love this team, don’t particularly enjoy the strict structure.
