Oklahoma City Thunder: The Rich List, Volume Seven
By Rich Condon
Klay Thompson
The Warriors went 3-0 this week, and they’re currently running roughshod through the NBA. Thompson, who could be the primary scoring option on at least 25 other teams in the NBA, is the third option on Golden State. This week, however, he was their leading scorer, averaging 30 points a game, tied for 6th most in the NBA. He was remarkably efficient shooting 56.6 percent from the field, 59.4 percent from three (he made the most threes per game in the NBA and was second in attempts), and 91 percent from the free throw line.
Anthony Davis
The Brow has been toiling away all season for the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans were only able to win 2 out of 4 games this week, despite Davis averaging 30 points (tied for 6th with Klay), 10.5 rebounds a game, and a league-leading 3.3 blocks a game.
Draymond Green
Draymond is the motor for one of the most impressive teams I’ve ever seen. He’s also one of the most unique players in the NBA. Need proof: he had a triple-double while only scoring four points. He’s the only NBA player in history to accomplish that.
Draymond only averaged 9.7 points per game for the week (he only attempted 7 shots a game), 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 2.3 blocks (tied for 4th in the NBA with Andre Roberson), and he led the league with 4.7 steals a game.
Suffice to say, the Warriors are a juggernaut.
