Without question, the star of the weekend was Russell Westbrook who got the media’s attention on day one.  Though much of his interactions could be deemed ‘shade’, this panel of one elected to view it as ‘Swag’.

Fashioning a Response Swag:

Supporting his rookies Swag:

Fellow NBA player interview Swag:

Dealing with the inevitable time on court with ex-teammate Swag:

On Fire Swag:

And can I just say, Westbrook, registered his 41 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and a steal in 20 minutes of play compared to Anthony Davis’ time on court (32 minutes)? Good for Davis, but Westbrook’s numbers are sick.

Cousins bids adieu with passionate, emotional swag:

I’d be remiss to leave out this video of DeMarcus Cousins demonstrating Swag to the city he’s called home for six-plus seasons.  This video reminds everyone that while Boogie is often seen as his own worst enemy, clearly he is a passionate, caring man.

Best NBA ‘Bromance’ Swag:

After spending time with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan at the Olympics it’s rumored Kevin Durant told them he was jealous of their ‘bromance.’ As a Toronto native, I can bear witness to the fact Lowry and DeRozan are a real thing. Their wives are friends, their children play together and they spend lots of down time together.

Lowry often is the one playing hype man to DeRozan’s straight guy, but at least once a week cameras catch them (often without them knowing joking around).  However, in this instance Lowry was well aware there were cameras on hand as he photobombed DeRozan’s All-Star photo shoot.  So, from this Toronto lady it felt fitting to end on this humorous high note:

Finally, that wraps up this week of Swag and Shade, and with the looming trade deadline, there is sure to be plenty to cover next week. Therefore, make sure to send us your OKC Thunder social media hits and point out the best in the coming week.
