Welcome to your weekly NBA Development League primer for the Oklahoma City Blue.
Before we look ahead to this weeks slate of games let me first give a shout out to the All-Stars of the Oklahoma City Blue, Reggie Williams and Dakari Johnson.
D-League All-Star Game Recap:
Dakari Johnson registered only 4 points on 1-6 from the field and three rebounds. It was some sort of a pedestrian effort on his part. He finished with a -13 on the +/- category in just 12 minutes. One note about Dakari is that he always plays hard, no matter how he is doing on the stat sheets.

Reggie Williams, however, logged the most minutes out of any one on the western D-League All-Star team with 24 minutes played. He finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and four steals in a great showing on Saturday. Williams probably would have won MVP had his team won the game.

All in all, it was great to see two players from the Oklahoma City Blue be represented in a showcase of this magnitude. The D-League All-Star game has been the stepping stone for many players looking to move on from the developmental league and into a spot on a 15-man NBA roster.
A look at the week ahead:
The All-Star break wraps up this Wednesday for the Oklahoma City Blue as they host the Sioux Falls Skyforce for the third time this season. The Blue has won the past two games with one of the wins being very convincing. The last time these two teams squared off, Reggie Williams dropped 35 points on the Skyforce that fueled the team to a 5 point overtime win.

After Sioux Falls, The Blue travel to face off against the Texas Legends who they are 0-2 against so far this season. Despite being three games below .500 on the season and the Blue leading the Southwest Division, the Legends seem to have their number.
However, if Williams can follow his strong showing from the all-star game and guys like Daniel Hamilton and Kaleb Tarczewski continue to step up they should have no problem finally gaining the upper hand on the Legends.
The Oklahoma City Blue close the week out against the Salt Lake City Stars at home. The Blue are 3-0 against the Stars so far this season and are fully expected to increase that to 4-0 by the week’s end. The Stars boast the second worst record in the Western Conference. In basketball world they would call this a “no-threat.”
The Oklahoma City Blue will no-doubt be looking to come out the NBADL All-Star break guns-blazing hoping to remain one of the top seeds heading into the playoffs this April.
