Kendrick Perkins:

Kendrick Perkins was last spotted hanging out in the OKC Thunder practice facility a couple of weeks ago. He was also a special guest at their home game against the New York Knicks, where he was greeted with healthy applause.

Perkins won’t add much to the roster in terms of talent or scoring, but he does add important experience and leadership that would be perfect for the 15th man. If Presti is content with the current roster and is looking to add a piece that won’t shake up the locker room then “Perk” has to be the guy.

Every Thunder player loves Kendrick Perkins. You can see it on their faces whenever they meet and whenever he is talked about. Presti surely loves him some “big perk.” It is widely known that Perkins’ expiring contract was one of the key pieces in the trade that sent Reggie Jackson packing. Perkins never wanted to leave, the players never wanted him to leave, so WHY NOT bring him back.

The former OKC Thunder center would add his value come playoff time and keeping this young team focused on the task at hand. He offers a certain type of grit to the team witnessed when he was a part of this team. Signing Perkins back this season would definitely be a decision the fans of OKC would love and I’m all for it.
