To make room for new people, you have to say goodbye to others. Last week, the OKC Thunder welcomed two new players from Chicago and said farewell to three of their own. Now, it’s time we say goodbye to them too.

It’s likely at least one of the three traded OKC Thunder players used the adage “Basketball is a business” as they made their way to Chicago. Hey, it’s been uttered a million times, but while this is their reality, so to is the fact being on a team is also like being part of a family.

Regardless of the impact the OKC Thunder will reap via the additions of Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott. Despite the fact, two of the departing players saw limited action nor were capable of producing what the incoming former Bulls likely will. It doesn’t diminish the reality that the team, franchise and fans still feel the loss of the departed players.

With that, let’s revisit the departing players time spent with the Thunder and send them off with our well wishes.
