A Salute to the Recently Traded OKC Thunder Players – Payne, Morrow and Lauvergne
Joffrey Lauvergne:
Oklahoma City didn’t get a chance to know him all that well, but Joffrey Lauvergne was a welcomed piece of the Thunder roster for the six months he was on it.
The 25-year-old Frenchman came to Oklahoma City on August 30, 2016, as a result of a trade with the Denver Nuggets, who received two protected second round draft picks in the deal.
Earlier this month, Lauvergne earned a season-high 16 points against the Memphis Grizzlies. Before leaving Oklahoma City, he averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.

The 3-year veteran’s contract is currently $1.7 million, and it expires at the end of this season. Will he stay in Chicago? It’s obviously too soon to say. But, Oklahoma City will surely miss his hair, his accent, and his added depth to the bench.
