The end of the Regular Season is fast approaching and the OKC Thunder have 12 Road Games to navigate.  Earning a solid Road record will show fans exactly how far they can reach in the playoff war to come.

Just Win Baby:

There are a million ways to dissect an NBA Team.  Yet, this time of year both valid and invalid excuses are meaningless.  In every game and in every situation legitimate teams find ways to win. The new version of the OKC Thunder may be one Superstar short but they are no longer one man short.

While McDermott and Gibson may not have seen tons of success in Chicago they are in a great position now to be a part of something great.  Sam Presti proved that if your team has Russell Westbrook there is no time to wait for the pursuit of greatness and winning.

Westbrook himself must be even more diligent on the road to limit his turnovers and to take smart shots.  This team may not have a classic “Big 3” but they do have parts and pieces that fit together.  Stats and personnel aside, this is the time of year where every winning opportunity must be maximized.

Collision Course:

In these last 12 road games, an 8-4 record or better is very possible.  Therefore, the Team must not allow Westbrook’s collision course with Oscar Robertson to take away from the need for wins. The OKC Thunder are going to take care of their business at home.  The greatest fans in the NBA have created an amazing home atmosphere in Oklahoma City and the team is propelled by them.

On the road, it is up to the heart inside each man and the schematic dancing of Billy Donovan to maintain a winning focus.  Fortunately, the way the schedule has unfolded will play directly into the Thunder’s hands.

Opportunity abounds for the Thunder to climb up the Playoff bracket and a Divisional title is very much within reach.

The road ahead is a wide-open straightaway for the Thunder to gain postseason momentum.  Let’s hope the Thunder remember to pack their hearts and their Offensive touch when they travel the NBA Road these final weeks.
