Enes Kanter

Enes Kanter has again been a wonderful spark off the bench for the OKC Thunder. His body has held up well with the exception of the chair fight. Kanter’s scoring has been vital, and his second chance points are uber-important to the second-unit.

More than 24 minutes

This season Kanter has dispelled the myth that he can only play half a game for his team to succeed. Kanter has played 18 games where he has logged 24 minutes or more. The OKC Thunder are an incredible 14-4 when this happens.

THUNDER: Jeremy Lambert’s Oklahoma City match game

When you shrink the sample size to include only games where he has played more than 30 minutes, the OKC Thunder are 3-0. There is a definite case to play the big man more.

Points

When Kanter scores ten points or less in a game, the OKC Thunder have a 9-6 record.  In games where Kanter scores between 11 and 19 points, the OKC Thunder have an 18-11.

And When Kanter scores 20 points or more? Oklahoma City is 7-3.

Blocks

I never thought I would be able to put a defensive stat in as a positive for Kanter, however it appears I can. When Kanter records a game with two or more blocks the OKC Thunder are 6-1.

When Kanter combines defense with his offensive talents and records a double double, the OKC Thunder record is 3-0. Hopefully Kanter can continue to grow on the defensive end of the court.

Rebounding

Enes Kanter has always been known for his offensive rebounding ability. When he records four or more offensive rebounds in a game the OKC Thunder have a 11-7 record. Then, when you add in four offensive rebounds with ten total boards, the Thunder are 8-2.

Double-doubles

Kanter has a tremendous ability to collect double-doubles. Since joining the OKC Thunder he has collected 66 of them and 15 so far this season. The Thunder are 11-4 in those instances. When Kanter collects a double-double and has 20 points or more, the OKC Thunder have a 5-0 record.

The Combinations

When the two OKC Thunder big men, Steven Adams and Enes Kanter both perform at a high level, the Thunder are unbeatable. In the eight games where Kanter has a double-double and Adams scores 11 or more points the Thunder are 8-0. The lowest winning margin was six points. The average winning margin is 11 points.

The awe inspiring combination of a Kanter double-double and a Westbrook triple-double has occurred an incredible six times this season. I am pretty sure you can figure out how many wins the Thunder have in these games. If you guessed six, you would be correct
