The last regular season OKC Thunder versus Golden State Warriors game is over. And in case you missed it, it wasn’t exactly pretty. Thankfully, Heather’s weekly roundup brings you all the fun stuff instead.
‘Stache Bros Episode 2
Did you catch the first “episode” of Steven Adams and Enes Kanter‘s campaign for Russell Westbrook to be named this season’s MVP? The next installment of the humorous web series is out now! This time, the boys are treated to a visit from Andre Roberson, who plays a gnarly game of “would you rather.” Check it out:

If Russ Doesn’t Win MVP, We Riot
Would you believe me if I said Russell Westbrook broke yet another NBA record on Wednesday night? Well, believe it, folks. In a 122-97 defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers, Westbrook became the first player in NBA history to record a perfect triple double. Not only was it his 35th triple double of the season, it was a triple double with zero shots missed. Westbrook ended the night with 18 points (6-for-6 field goals; 6-for-6 free throws), 11 rebounds, and 14 assists.
Rumble At the ‘Peake
If you missed the Golden State Warriors step all over the Thunder, that’s fine. But, did you catch that fight? Both teams were gathered for a jump ball when the fists started flying. Much to the chagrin of Thunder fans, technical fouls were given to Russell Westbrook (his 15th), Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Semaj Christon.
Decide for yourself if you think that was the right call:

Perhaps feeling a little homesick for the Thunder, Serge Ibaka had a similar showing the very next night. We miss you, Serge:

He Can Run
But Kevin Durant can’t hide. At that same GSW game, fans knew former Thunder star Kevin Durant wasn’t going to play. He was injured (despite a pretty aggressive practice session the day after). But, he didn’t walk out with the team. He didn’t even walk out with the coaches. Just as Rumble the Bison was getting the fans pumped up for tip-off, Durant attempted to sneak out of the locker room and take his seat on the bench.

Of course, Thunder fans noticed. The boos erupted, causing a bit of general confusion for poor Rumble, who was banging away on the drum in the center of the court. In the end, Durant couldn’t get away with his sneakiness.

Thunderous Intentions writer Matthew Hallett explores the growth, stats, and future prospects of rookie guard Semaj (backwards James, as I like to call him). It’s an enlightening read about a player we’re sure to see more of soon.
