Tragedy Turns To Hope

Up 3-1 on the 73 win Warriors, it all seemed but inevitable that the Thunder would finally return to the Finals after four long years. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The Warriors would come back from their 3-1 deficit and defeat the Thunder in game seven.

Once more, panic set into the organization and fans as Durant entered free agency with an option  to leave the Thunder.

The nightmare became a reality and Durant was gone. The beloved Durant was gone after all of those years in OKC. He just left. The city had a black, not grey — but black cloud over it.he end of an era in OKC. But the start of something special.

Ever since Kevin Durant left, you have been nothing short of amazing. When everyone told you to run after Durant ran, you stayed and brought hope to a city that was in desperate need of it.

I, as a fan, feel guilty for not appreciating you more when Durant was here. I know that Durant was most everyone’s favorite, but you seemed to take a backseat and let Durant shine.

People don’t really understand what you did to try and get Durant to stay. People think you are glad he left when in reality you wanted him to stay. You did everything in your power to try and keep him.

I respect your passion for the game of basketball so much. You come out every night and just want to win basketball games. Most guys are all about the glitz and glamour of the cameras, but you just want a good team around you to help win games every night.
