2. He is one of the worst free throw shooters in the NBA

The final four minutes of Game Five with the Rockets were almost impossible to watch. They unofficially changed the title from Hack-A-Shaq to Hack-A-Dre.

With the new Hack-A-Shaq rule, many teams have cut down late game fouling. This, was not the case in a must win playoff game for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With 3:55 left in the 4th, the Thunder down by 3, it began. The Rockets began to hack Roberson, every possession, until they subbed in Jerami Grant. He missed 6 vital free throws. The Thunder lost 105-99 to the Rockets and packed their bags to head home.

Now, given, being able to hit a free throw isn’t exactly a must for a defensive oriented player, but having some sort of go to offense is. Dre does not have that, in any shape or form. He is mostly used in the offense by either using back door cuts, or posting up on the wing to not be guarded whats-so-ever.

It is fair to say that 9 times out of 10, no defense respects any offense he has to offer. If he’s not in front of the others team best player, he might as well be irrelevant.
