More from Thunderous Intentions

* Lakers retained their pick which they were in jeopardy of losing to Philly if they fell out of top 3

**Philadelphia had a mixed bag as they didn’t get the Lakers pick but lucked out being able to swap with the Kings. Since the 76ers pick was fifth they swapped to get the Kings third pick

*** An unlucky evening for Phoenix who had the second best odds to capture the top spot, but fell out of the top three

****Sacramento as per above had zero chance of getting the top pick and even lost their third pick to Philly who swapped their fifth pick. Their second pick (10) comes courtesy of New Orleans which was only top 3 protected. If their own pick had been ten or higher it would have gone to Chicago, so overall things could have been much worse.

*****By far the unluckiest team of the night was New Orleans who needed a top three selection to keep their pick. By falling into the tenth selection it gave Sacramento there second of two top ten picks (this was part of the DeMarcus Cousins trade).

All teams will begin the process of preparation now for the 2017 NBA Draft occurring  on June 22. The OKC Thunder have the 21st pick in the draft.
