We’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news – it’s Monday. The good news – this is your OKC Thunder daily in the news column, where we serve up topical stories about your favorite team.

Today’s offerings include an update about Enes Kanter’s status following his passport revocation, an examination of Kanter’s season performance, and a look at the future of Russell Westbrook’s newborn son.

Enes Kanter Update:

After OKC Thunder player Enes Kanter found himself stuck in Romania with a canceled passport, it was unclear when – or if – the basketball player would return to the United States. We’re happy to report that, as of Sunday morning, the big man is back on American soil.

In an article for ESPN, Royce Young said:

"“According to sources, the NBA worked with the State Department to get Kanter to London late on Saturday, with Oklahoma Senators Jim Inhofe and James Lankford making calls on his behalf. Kanter is a citizen of Turkey, but holds a green card to work in the U.S.Kanter had a number of remaining stops left on his charity tour, but all have been canceled.”"

Enes Kanter is set to hold a press conference on Monday, where he will answer questions and share more information about his experience.

In Other Kanter News:

With the season behind us, report cards for the OKC Thunder continue coming in. The latest season review in the lineup examines Enes Kanter’s performance in both the regular and post season.

Thunderous Intentions writer Dean Turner suggests:

"“One of the biggest problems for Kanter is the way the league has shifted in recent years. The league,  now more than ever, is three-point centric. Power forwards and centers are called on to be more mobile and able to shoot than ever before. This leaves Kanter at an immediate disadvantage.Kanter is more of a traditional power forward who plays in the post rather than lurks on the perimeter. Kanter’s style just doesn’t fit today’s NBA, especially considering his unfavorable defense.”"

Noah Westbrook, Class of 2035:

He’s only a few days old, but Russell Westbrook’s baby boy Noah already has plans for his collegiate future. Well, he has an offer anyway.

Jeff Boals, head coach of the Stony Brook mens basketball team in New York, tweeted the word “offer” in response to Westbrook’s announcement.

According to Sporting News:

"“At seven pounds, five ounces and 20 inches long, Noah Westbrook already has elite measurements for a prospect in the class of 2035 that are worthy of a five-star rating.”"
