Reviewing Jerami Grant’s first season in Oklahoma City

Jerami Grant highlights
You already know what I’m starting with.
I don’t care that the Thunder got destroyed that game and that Kevin Durant absolutely torched them the rest of the night. For 2 minutes, I and the rest of Thunder Nation, felt superior to the Golden State
Gods
Warriors. Jerami Grant was relatively new to Oklahoma City at this point, but this play wiped any doubt away that he would be a welcome addition.
And then he did this.
Sure the dunk was impressive, but it’s the lead-up that truly has me excited about Grant’s future. Instead of going up on the first step he takes one dribble to get to the open space in the paint. That one dribble made Kris Humphries fall quicker than his standing with Kim K. Then there’s the ability to gather the ball and jump with an insane explosion.
Kid can play a little defense too, if you do remember.
Yo. That Boston crowd really thought Jonas Jerebko was going to do something spectacular on my man. Yeah right. Jerami Grant swatted that away like a little child getting fed a piece of broccoli. He smacked it harder than…I don’t even know. I just know that may be the most disrespectful block/stare down I’ve ever seen.
On to more dunks.
Imagine what it’s like to fly through the air like Jerami Grant. Because that’s what he did in the dunk above. It truly is remarkable to watch him do his thing in open space; sadly we didn’t get to see that much this season because the NBA didn’t put him in the dunk contest. And I’ll be honest with you, after reminiscing about what he did to Cole Aldrich I’m not that upset by it anymore.
And this year’s award for worst block attempt goes to Aldrich. Grant is quicker, has a higher vertical and is already ahead of Aldrich in the play. But hey, I’m not mad about it.
I was only supposed to do five, but here’s a bonus one for ya. Was this with Philadephia? Yes. Was this during the Summer League? Yes.
Did it make you jump out of your seat? You’re welcome.
