NBA Free Agency set to begin July 1 – team by team list of 146 free agents

The marquee event of the offseason is just five days away – NBA Free Agency.

NBA Free Agency launches via the moratorium stage which begins at midnight and 146 prospective free agents hitting the market. On the same day the Orlando Summer League starts so the OKC Thunder will be active on both fronts. Four players on the Thunder are free agents including unrestricted free agents Norris Cole, Nick Collison and Taj Gibson.

The only restricted free agent is Andre Roberson. What that means is if any opponent team offers Roberson a contract the OKC Thunder can choose to match it.

The fifth player who could join them is Jerami Grant depending on whether Sam Presti exercises the team option on him. Presti has until June 29th to make this decision.

Certainly there will be ample speculation on what will occur with the OKC Thunder free agents. But, the majority of fans will be focused on the ‘big fish’ free agents. These include Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, Gordon Hayward, Jrue Holiday, Otto Porter, Paul Millsap, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and four key Golden State Warriors. The latter include Steven Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

With news the salary cap has dropped by $2 million per team it could play a big factor in terms of what teams can offer.
