Tony Snell:

Another compelling off the radar free agent Sam Presti should consider is Tony Snell. Almost immediately upon his move from the Bulls to the Bucks, he became a serviceable contributor.  His per-game  8.5 points 3.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 40.6 perimeter efficiency stat line doesn’t do him justice.

His 6’7″ length and lateral slides afford him the option of guarding 1 through 3 and possibly smaller power forwards. He fits the current age timeline of the Thunder’s youthful roster and would be an excellent addition to the squad.

Another reason I like him is he showcased some new traits in the playoffs versus the Raptors. During the first-round series, aside from Antetokounmpo, he was arguably the most consistent performer. But, what stood out more was his ability to deliver under the lights. Plus his grit and tenacity which hasn’t been a commonly demonstrated side fans have seen.

Although he doesn’t have the same defensive chops of Andre Roberson he is much better offensively. It’s probably a moot point since Snell is a restricted free agent, none-the-less he’s an intriguing free agent.
