The Orlando Summer League tips off today with the OKC Thunder among the eight participating teams.
Following the big trade yesterday most fans have their sights set on next season, but today the OKC Thunder youngsters will play their first Summer League game in Orlando.
Joining the OKC Thunder are seven other teams. They include the host Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. The event runs from July 1 through July 6 with each team scheduled to play 4 games prior to the final round which is determined by the squads previous performances.
The Thunder’s first game is today (Saturday July 1) at 5:00 p.m. EST against the Detroit Pistons. Game 2 occurs Monday, July 3 at 1 p.m. EST against the New York Knicks. On Tuesday, July 4 the Thunder play at 1 p.m. EST against the Charlotte Hornets. Their final game before the championship round is against the Dallas Mavericks and is also at 1 p.m. EST.
The final games happen on Thursday July 6 and the opponent is determined based on how the teams rank.

Note: with the trade to send Domantas Sabonis to the Indiana Pacers there has been no update on whether the OKC Thunder will replace him with another potential prospect.
