The OKC Thunder fail to leave their mark in game 4 of the versus Mavericks in Orlando Summer League .

Even though the Thunder started Summer League 2-0, they have lost their next two games and will  close out the tournament tomorrow. In their fourth game, The Thunder were completely blown out 96-75 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Semaj Christon played a rather large roll in their monstrous loss. Though he had 8 assists and 16 points, he cancelled those out with 7 turnovers and -16 plus-minus. It looked like he just couldn’t find any kind of rhythm on the Magic’s practice court.

The Thunder also lost the game from the three-point line. They lost by 21 points and the Mavericks made 6 more three-pointers than the Thunder. So 18 of those extra 21 points were given up beyond the arc. The OKC Thunder also gave up 19 turnovers to the Mavericks 7. This shows the sheer lack in execution of the offense.

A mix of poor defense while making too many mistakes cost the Thunder it’s fourth game in Summer League.  Dakari Johnson played his third game having only sat against the Hornets when the coaches rested most of the key players. So far he’s averaged about 18 points per game while being heavily versatile on defense for a seven-footer.

As Johnson and Josh Huestis both strive for role player positions on the Thunder’s bench, they haven’t seemed to upset us this summer. Huestis himself had a game high 26 points against the New York Knicks.
