Thunder in the news is your daily one-stop shop for everything OKC Thunder. Today we dive into the recent jersey release from Nike among others.

Let’s skip the introduction and get right into Thunder talk. Because why not?

Nike unveils two “new” Thunder jerseys

This one isn’t a surprise. Nike and the Thunder released the new jerseys for the 2017-2018 season. Virtually nothing changed. There are six adjustments to the uniforms according to Oklahoma City’s post – five of those are Nike’s special basketball jersey technology.

The only thing truly different is the “OKC” on the belt of the shorts. I have to say it was a really nice touch. Check out the new uniforms here.

"With an eye toward tradition entering into its 10th season, the Oklahoma City Thunder today shared the designs for two of its new uniforms for the 2017-18 season, as part of the partnership between the NBA and Nike."

Enes Kanter keeps Thunder fans updated

Enes Kanter’s contract may put Oklahoma City in a tough cap situation, but he is truly valuable because of his social media presence. Because of Kanter we know who made it out to LA for the unofficial team summer workouts. Couple interesting tidbits:

  1. Kyle Singler and Semaj Christon are sitting next to Russell Westbrook. I have no explanation for you.
  2. Daniel Hamilton is peeking his head out behind Steven Adams. Get ready for the news that he signed a two-way deal with the Thunder.
  3. Don’t fret about Paul George. He’s in Spain on a pre-planned vacation according to Royce Young.

Carmelo Anthony divides Thunder Nation

If the Thunder want to truly contend for a title they have to add another piece. Whether or not that piece should be Carmelo Anthony is another question. Joshua Lea from Thunderous Intentions breaks down why Melo has become so polarizing to Thunder Nation.

"Personally, I think the actual chances of Anthony coming to the Oklahoma City Thunder are slim. His sole desire is to play for the Houston Rockets."

Thanks again for stopping by! We’ll be back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, with another roundup concerning your favorite team.
