Unfortunately, it’s Monday. But here’s something to be excited about – a brand new OKC Thunder in the news column. We’re here to serve up topical stories about your favorite team.

Today’s offerings include a video of Russell Westbrook having a grand ol’ time, a Terrance Ferguson profile and a peek into the Thunderous Intentions vault.

Russell Westbrook is really enjoying his summer:

When life brings you to an amusement park, you just have to ride all the attractions. The reigning NBA MVP gets it.

After a trip to Disneyland yesterday, Westbrook shared video from the driver’s seat of a classic park ride – the bumper cars. And despite moving at approximately two miles per hour, it does look like a pretty good time:

If you feel like one of the cars being teased by Westbrook’s driving, you’re not alone. Waiting for The Decision of 2017 (you know, the whole contract thing) does feel a bit like a theme park ride with its hours of waiting, ups and downs, and anticipation.

Terrance Ferguson prepares for his return to Oklahoma:

One of the newest players to don a Thunder jersey, Terrance Ferguson was born in Tulsa, OK. Now, nearly 20 years later, he’s gearing up for his return to Oklahoma – and the spotlight of the Chesapeake Energy Arena. In an in-depth article for okcthunder.com, Jimmy Do profiles the young star, from his humble beginnings to his upcoming return to the Sooner State.

Ferguson told Do:

"“I just want to give thanks to the Thunder organization just for believing in me. It’s been a long journey, many sacrifices, but I’m proud to be here. I’m back home. I’m thankful for my family for being by me every step of the way, and it’s exciting.”"

Don’t forget about Jerami Grant:

As you know, Thunderous Intentions is filled with talented writers and great content. Today’s “in case you missed it” highlight features the work of Gideon Lim, whose Film Festival series puts him in the imaginary film room, reviewing game footage with Thunder players.

In a recent installment, Lim profiles small forward Jerami Grant. According to Lim:

"“I’m going to put myself out there and say that Jerami Grant is the OKC Thunder’s best dunker….Jerami Grant is an exciting young prospect for the Thunder. The problem is, the same gracefulness from Grant’s dunking sometimes seeps into his overall play. And, that is a problem for a player whose game is built on hustle.”"
