Thunder in the news is an OKC Thunder fan’s dream – a daily post dedicated to finding the best Oklahoma City content around the web.

Welcome! Hopefully you found yourself here via the Thunderous Intentions home page. If not, be sure to check that out after getting updated on the latest Thunder news.

1/2 of the Stache Bros is gone

It’s a sad day for Stache Bro stans.

Look, Steven Adams’ hair/size maintains his standing as the Mountain Man of the NBA. Losing the Stache makes that claim a bit more questionable though. Without the facial hair Adams reminds me a bit of myself – that’s not intimidating.

Even more important is what this does to the best friendship in sports. The Stache Bros need to come up with a new nickname if this is in fact is a concrete change. Maybe the International Elites? Or the Post-Up Powers? Hopefully they come up with something much better.

Taking a look at possible jersey designs

Considering the Thunder have some of the worst jerseys in the NBA, one of my favorite activities is looking at fan’s concepts for the new Nike jerseys. Famed graphic designer Justin Peabody made a few ideas for Daily Thunder; I have to say #4 is my personal favorite.

"Thunder fans have already seen the mostly untouched Association and Icon editions, but there are two alternates yet to be unveiled. As such, fan-made concept designs are floating around the Internet at an accelerated pace"

Enes Kanter film review

Thunderous Intentions’ own Gideon Lim has been doing a great job breaking down the Oklahoma City roster this offseason. His newest piece takes a look at Kanter, specifically what the big man does outside of getting buckets.

"Beyond the common story lines, Enes Kanter’s game footage shows how sophisticated his offensive game is, and more importantly how it can expand."
