As NBA2K 18 ratings continue to role out, OKC Thunder fans are left wondering what their favorite players will be ranked.

We are less than a month away from the much anticipated release of NBA 2K18. The graphics are glorious and the gameplay is supposedly smoother – the only thing left for 2K fans is the player rankings.

At the time of writing this, 43 players have had their overall rating released. The mix ranges from superstars (Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Anteotokounmpo) to role players (Sean Kilpatrick Jr. and Evan Fournier) to rookies (Markelle Fultz and John Collins). Simply put, it’s an incredibly random mix.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, however, only have one player whose ranking has been released: Paul George. The cover athlete of 2K17 was part of the initial unveiling of the game alongside Kyrie Irving, Joel Embiid and Isaiah Thomas.

More from Thunderous Intentions

It’s interesting that the third-most watched team in the league last season has been fairly silent in 2K’s gradual ranking release. Especially when the MVP is on the Thunder AND they had arguably the best offseason of any franchise. I’ll put it this way: the Phoenix Suns have three players and the Brooklyn Nets have two players who have been released.

It’s possible that this is yet another instance of the Thunder staying out of the news. The organization stays out of the spotlight whenever possible, and they tend to draft/sign/trade  players with the same mentality.

Either way, I need to know ASAP where Ronnie 2K and his minions have Russell Westbrook ranked. If he isn’t at least a 94 (the same as Steph Curry) I will be boycotting the game.
