Soundtrack to the 2017-18 Thunder season
By Joshua Lea
The OKC Thunder are beginning the quest to appear on the big stage of the NBA’s Western Conference. As the season gets closer, here’s a playlist to get you excited.
The OKC Thunder have a variety of different characters on their roster. From Russell Westbrook to Steven Adams, Paul George to Nick Collison, these players make the Thunder the great team they are.
This season will bring a new era in Thunder basketball. The air is clean, filled with hope and optimism. You can feel the energy in the city of OKC as the season approaches. Sure, college football and the NFL are just weeks away, but, the NBA is almost one month away.
Obviously, when you have two of the NBA most elite players, you consider yourself contenders. Westbrook and George will lead the pack of Thunder players into battle with dunks, defense and grit as the season beckons.
However, the NBA and music have in most cases always gone hand-in-hand. Most players have a favorite artist they listen to and often post about on Snapchat. In this post, I am going to highlight some of the songs I use for my Thunder playlist. Before I do, remember I grew up in the 1990’s and 2000’s, so no judging. I’m looking at you Tony.
Rather than post a bunch of videos, and give my reasons why these tracks are good. I’m going to list them and let you check them out for your self. Enjoy.
