Welcome to Thunderous Thoughts, a weekly look at the OKC Thunder. This week, I venture into the world of video breakdowns and see what Enes Kanter brings to the Thunder.

Enes Kanter has posted a lot of workout videos during the offseason. None of them feature him playing defense. If you read the comments on his videos, 90 percent of the comments are about him working on his defense. I really hope Enes Kanter doesn’t read the comments on his videos. Or, I hope he reads the comments and is just like “nah” and continues to post offense only videos as a way to troll everyone.

Let’s look at every video Kanter has posted on Twitter during the summer.

This is the most recent video. Kanter is only noticeable in one clip, where he performs his only post move and scores. Otherwise, he’s either out of the play or under the basket, waiting for a rebound that never comes because no one misses during Twitter workout season.

In this video, Kanter it setting a pick for a point guard that isn’t Russell Westbrook against a defender that doesn’t exist. This leads to easy layups, where Kanter still manages to toe the line between a travel and the legal amount of steps. It also leads to some wide open shots. These workouts will be very useful if John Cena joins the NBA this season.

Here we see Kanter working on the corner three. Multiple reports said that he’ll look to expand his game beyond the arc this year and we’re seeing glimpses of that work in this video. This is actually important because if Kanter shows a consistent touch from three, he becomes an even bigger weapon on the offensive end as a scorer and spacer.

Kanter destroys the defender on a hoop that doesn’t look regulation height.

There’s no basketball activity in this video but can we talk about how ripped Enes is looking? That chair definitely isn’t winning round two.

Would Kanter be any good at basketball if he wasn’t allowed to perform a spin or half-spin? Probably not.

This is from the famed LeBron James-Kevin Durant pick up game. Kanter gets torched by Hoodie Melo on multiple occasions, but Hoodie Melo is one of the five best players in any sport, so that’s not too concerning. I’m also convinced that Kanter took it easy on Hoodie Melo so the Knicks didn’t see the footage and were like, “Yup, we’ll trade you Carmelo for Enes straight up.” I can’t really blame the guy.

Another pick up game. Kanter shows some good strength in the post and once again gets a defender with his unstoppable one post move.

Kanter once again shows his range, this time from the top of the key. It’s really cool that He’s turned into Ryan Anderson during the offseason.

I promise you that’s not the same video as earlier.

Ok, that might be the same video as earlier.

What did we learn from these offseason workouts with Enes Kanter? He’s going to shoot 100 percent from the field and continue to play no defense.
