Thunder in the news is an OKC Thunder fan’s dream – a daily post dedicated to finding the best Oklahoma City content around the web.

What’s up Thunder Nation? Hopefully the early stages of the week have been good to you. Even though it’s the offseason our team is still dominating the headlines. Whether it’s pickup basketball or posts on an offensive/defensive evolution, we got you covered with the latest OKC content from the past day.

Past and present OKC stars meet up in the Big Apple

Remember when we went crazy over the famed LeBron-KD-Melo pickup game? Well they just keep getting better. Yesterday a flurry of NBA stars – Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Chris Paul and Hoodie Melo – met in New York City to get some run in. Joining them were a couple other familiar faces: Serge Ibaka, Enes Kanter and Victor Oladipo. It’s pretty cool to see so many Thunder players come together over the offseason.

Expect a different Thunder offense this season

You know we’re getting close to the NBA regular season when actual basketball posts start creeping out. Yesterday the Norman Transcript’s Fred Katz detailed how the change in the roster over the offseason is going to completely change how Billy Donovan styles the offense. As always Katz’s points are spot-on.

"There’s more to it. A change in skill sets will lead to one in style."

Three players to help Enes Kanter on defense

Our newest writer Lawrence George is already causing shockwaves on Thunderous Intentions. Two articles and two reposts from Bleacher Report means he gets today’s In the News spotlight. The names aren’t going to make you jump out of your seat, but they are realistic options for the Thunder bench. Shoutout Lawrence for the good work.

"Enes Kanter is frustrating to watch for OKC Thunder fans. His offensive numbers per 36 minutes are elite, but his defensive numbers scream G-League 15th man."

Thanks again for reading! Make sure you come back tomorrow, and the next day and every day after that for a new edition of Thunder in the news!
