On paper, the OKC Thunder roster is about as sexy as you can get. However, rings aren’t won on paper. In virtually a win or bust season, head coach Billy Donovan must maximize the talents of his entire roster to be successful.

The OKC Thunder magical offseason continues with Russell Westbrook signing the richest contract in NBA history. The 5-year, 205 million (M) dollar contract secures the Russ through to 2023. With the additions of Carmelo Anthony and Paul George, expect the big 3 to do majority of the heavy lifting. Now that Thunder GM Sam Presti has assembled a championship roster, coach Billy Donovan has no excuses.

It’s easy to forget that Donovan is entering just his third year in the association. After taking over from Scott Brooks in 2015, he has already experienced more in two years than most do in 10. He’s been to the Western Conference Finals, watched a franchise cornerstone walk out the door and witnessed the greatest regular season in NBA history. These experiences are sure to guide him heading into a pivotal 2017-18 season.

We all know what Melo, PG13 and Westbrook will bring. but its the supporting cast that will prove the difference. Here are four players that will benefit playing along side the big 3.
