OKC Thunder training camp is quickly coming to an end – today’s Thunder in the News focuses on the biggest storylines entering the final preseason game.

That went by quick. Tonight marks the end of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s four-game preseason slate. I’m actually sad about it – it’s been fun watching the Terrance Ferguson’s and Daniel Hamilton’s of the world show off their potential. It’s also been fun watching Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George work out the kinks.

Terrance Ferguson has one more game to turn heads

Terrance Ferguson is the surprise story of Thunder training camp. Here’s my thing with Ferguson: the 19-year old is already the 10th or 11th best player on the Oklahoma City roster, but he still has a lot of room to grow. Is it worth it to keep him with the Thunder where he’ll get inconsistent minutes? Or should he head to the G-League where he’ll have a chance to keep working on his in-game three-point shot?

I tend to side with option #2. Tonight’s his last chance to prove me wrong.

"When the Thunder drafted Ferguson at No. 21, they didn’t expect him to contribute right away. The rangy, 19-year-old wing had bounced in and out of a rotation while playing professionally in Australia last season."

The most important things to watch for tonight

This team is so intriguing Ferguson didn’t even make Erik Horne’s five things to watch. I love it. My personal favorite is the paragraph about Josh Huestis. In my eyes Huestis is fighting to keep Ferguson out of the rotation – don’t be surprised if he gets run with some of the starters tonight.

"Josh Huestis is entering a fourth professional season and is still an enigma."

Full preview with a little Nuggets talk

And of course we round it out with Tamberlyn Richardson’s preview of tonight’s game. It’s going to be interesting to see how Oklahoma City responds after Sunday’s grueling game. Melbourne got the Thunder out of their rhythm on offense, forcing far too much isolation ball. Hopefully a day in the film room helped Billy Donovan. We’ll see tonight.

"The big question facing the OKC Thunder in their final preseason game is how much offensive chemistry fans will witness."
