Thunder in the News is an OKC Thunder fan’s dream – a daily post dedicated to finding the best Oklahoma City content. Guess what? We’ve reached the regular season.

Who cares if the NBA regular season already began? Thunder Nation still has one more day to speculate, hypothesize and guesstimate before the season gets underway. Is Oklahoma City stacked enough to compete with Golden State? How important is the future when rings are a possibility now? These are questions we need to ask.

The OK3 needs to play a specific way, especially Russell Westbrook

SB Nation spoke yesterday, the Washington Post spoke today. The Oklahoma City Thunder are by far the most intriguing team on the national landscape, simply because of their quick comeback to contention. Tim Bontemps is only the latest to try and figure out exactly how Sam Presti was able to put everything together. Bontemps’ main goal, however, is understanding how this new trio is going to co-exist.

"Everyone around the Thunder is unanimous on one thing — the goal is to keep at least one of the team’s three stars on the court at all times."

Andre Roberson can be useful on offense

This is an article from a few days ago, but it’s an important piece for Thunder fans nonetheless. It seems like everybody but the Oklahoma City hive sees Andre Roberson as a negative in the league – Ben Gordon begs to differ. Gordon argues (rightfully so) that there’s more to the NBA game, specifically showing how Roberson’s impact goes beyond the statsheet. There’s a reason I’m calling Andre the “Lowkey MVP” for the second year in a row.

"He’s a great cutter to the rim, able to read lanes and take advantage of double teams when he’s off the ball."

PJ Dozier signs two-way contract with Oklahoma City

Finally we wrap up with some hard-hitting Thunder news. Sam Presti filled up his last two-way contract by signing PJ Dozier, the undrafted rookie out of South Carolina. Instead of discussing Dozier further I’ll let you read my analysis of the signing.

"Dozier has all the tools to be a successful NBA wing: he’s long, can play multiple positions and already possesses a strong handle of the game."
