Today is the day the OKC Thunder turn it around after a two-game skid. That’s the type of issue today’s Thunder in the News is going to be.

It’s going to be a good day today Thunder Nation. Even though Oklahoma City has lost two-games in a row behind three halves of less-than-stellar basketball, there’s no reason to hit the panic button. We’re not even ten games into the season to declare any season-long conjectures. Tonight marks Game #10 of the season – no matter the outcome we still won’t be ready to make a definitive statement for the season.

The Kings are the only thing stopping the Thunder from a win

The good news is OKC is facing one of the worst team’s in the league tonight. Sacramento has won one game all season, their second game of the year to the Dallas Mavericks. The Thunder is angry after Sunday night’s debacle so don’t be surprised if they come out looking to dismantle a severely-less talented Kings team. The Thunder organization provides our official preview to tonight’s contest.

"Oklahoma City is going for its third road win in four contests tomorrow night as they take on the Kings at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The Thunder wrapped October play with a three-game road trip and ended with a 110-91 win over the Bucks on Halloween night."

“City” Thunder concept jerseys are getting close to the real one

On a much lighter note, the fourth and final Thunder jersey prototype has been released. Graphic designer Conrad Burry doesn’t have the official design locked in, but he does know the colors and side design for the jersey. Check out the closest thing we have to the “City” jersey – I think you’ll enjoy it.

"If you don’t know who Conrad Burry is, you should. He’s found out what a rough mock of the Oklahoma City version is going to look like."

The Thunder are at their best when…

This isn’t something that shouldn’t have to be written. Sadly our staff writer Austin Sternlicht had to write the piece anyway. The Thunder are 4-0 when Russell Westbrook records a triple-double and 0-5 when he doesn’t. We’re not saying the arbitrary stat line is the only reason the Thunder win. We’re saying that when he dominates all aspects of the game like he can, the Thunder win.

"A triple-double is an arbitrary stat line that has become celebrated over the years. When a player gets a triple-double, it means they are impacting the game in a broad range of areas."

That’s it for Tuesday’s issue edition of Thunder in the News. Check Thunderous Intentions after the game for our recap and player grades. I’ll have something as well – what that is is TBD by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
