After suffering a meniscus tear in July, it was uncertain as to whether or not Walker IV would be ready for the start of his freshman campaign. He was recently cleared to play, and is ready to make an impact in the Hurricanes’ backcourt.
Walker IV is known to be a very-good shooter, and is very good at creating his own opportunities. Given his size and athleticism, Walker IV has the potential to quickly be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
Although he is very good when he has the basketball, scouts feel that he needs to work on his game when the ball isn’t in his hands. Additionally, even though he has the size and strength to be a good defender, Walker IV must also show that he is committed on both sides of the ball.
Similar to Brown, Walker IV is another freshman that could show that he is worthy of a lottery pick. As the college season gets underway, Walker IV is definitely a player to keep an eye on.
