Welcome to Thunderous Thoughts, your weekly look at the OKC Thunder in creative ways that you definitely aren’t seeing on the court right now.

May I have your attention, please?

May I have your attention, please?

Will the real OKC Thunder please stand up?

I repeat, will the real OKC Thunder please stand up?

We’re having problems here.

Ya’ll act like you’ve never seen an offense before

Basketball all over the court like Dion isn’t walking through that door

To save this mess like he did before

That offseason divorce, where he went to Miami

It’s the return of the “Ah wait, no way, you’re kidding

He didn’t just take the shot I think he did, did he?”

And Billy D said…nonsense, you idiots!

Billy D’s cred is so low it’s locked in a basement

Hot take media loves OKC

“Russy, Russy, Russy, Westbrook, I’m sick of OK3

He’s so ‘look at me’ walkin around wearin who knows what

Swearin at you know who” “Yeah, but he’s so cute though”

Yeah, Westbrook can be pretty irrational throughout the game

This year is worse and he’s not the only one to take blame

I scream at the TV “this loss is the same!”

But no matter how loud, the outcome doesn’t change

Another Westbrook miss, another Westbrook miss

Last year, all those shots went swish

How long before Paul George gets fed up and calls it quits?

We just expect him to leave and go where the ball is his

Of course Carmelo knows what ISO is

He’s done it since the fourth grade

But we don’t have to live with it, do we?

We expected a better offense-well, just one that makes some sense

Not this thing without space that’s less dense

But if they can just hit their shots and get some stops

Then there’s no reason that this team with these players don’t sit up top

Unfortunately for fans, there is no antidote

Marvel is what Stan Lee wrote, sing the chorus and it goes…

Russ, Melo, Paul, yes, Russ, Melo, Paul

Please, oh please, will you just share the ball

And will the real OKC, please stand up

Please stand up, please stand up?

Russ, Melo, Paul, yes, Russ, Melo, Paul

Please, oh please, will you just share the ball

And will the real OKC, please stand up

Please stand up, please stand up?

Other Thunder Thoughts

*I really have nothing else to say. I think I speak for everyone when I say this isn’t what we all envisioned two months ago. I’m sure it’s not what the players envisioned either. My time for panic was Dec. 1. Seeing as they don’t play another game until then, I think it’s safe to panic.

More from Thunderous Intentions

You’ve probably read/heard plenty of stuff about this team from people who are smarter and more connected than me. I’m not trying to rehash any of those thoughts or get into the minds of the coaches and players. We all see what’s happening on the court. It’s ugly.

Just know, as a fan who gets weekly time to share my thoughts with other fans, I’m just as frustrated as you are. Actually, that’s a lie at this point. I’m almost numb to my feelings when it comes to this team. It’s like, I didn’t think they could sink any lower than the Dallas game. And then the Orlando game happened.

Things might get better. I still believe that this team is far too talented for things not to get better. But there are no encouraging signs right now. The Warriors game felt more like divine intervention than anything the Thunder did on the court.

Are you there, God? It’s me, Jeremy.
