We’re celebrating the 26th birthday of OKC Thunder starting shooting guard Andre Roberson.
From the moment Thunder GM Sam Presti acquired him from the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night in 2013, Andre Roberson has been a big part of the Oklahoma City family.
The fifth-year player out of Colorado worked his way up from the Development League to a valuable starter for the Thunder because of his hustle and effort on the defensive end. Since then, Roberson has brought his energy to the court every night and has stuck with his team through some dark times, which Presti rewarded with a pay raise.

Roberson’s birthday not only gives us a chance to reflect on what he’s meant to this team over the years, but also reminds us of how young he and the rest of his teammates are. At 26-years old today, Roberson is the seventh oldest player on the roster. The youngest is rookie Terrance Ferguson at only 19-years young.
The young bloods in the league like Roberson have handled the pressure put on them by fans and the media so well that it can be easy to forget that most of them are normal young adults. Off the court, Roberson often gives back to the community and makes regular appearances at the University of Colorado.
Throughout the years, Roberson has become a staple in the Thunder starting lineup and is a beloved member of the Oklahoma City family. He’s never been known to stir drama in the locker room and often gives back through the NBA Cares charity work.
Andre, Happy Birthday from the Thunderous Intentions team! Thank you for your service to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the OKC community.
