The OKC Thunder look to continue their recent success with a couple of winnable home games

Winning seems to cure all things. At least in this moment in time, it appears that the OKC Thunder have turned the corner. The team has finally started to look like the team we all thought they could be. Oklahoma City has now won six consecutive games, and will look to add two more to their recent streak.

With those great victories behind us, our eyes move forward to visits from Milwaukee and Dallas this weekend. These games indeed offer the chance at two more wins, but they also pose great fantasy options to consider as well. With the OKC Thunder playing so strong, it’s hard not to think they continue their dominance against these foes.

More from Thunderous Intentions

I know everyone is looking forward to the New Year’s weekend, so let’s move on towards our weekly fantasy options.

Russell Westbrook

How could I not place Westbrook in this slot? Some would say it is too cliche to place the reigning MVP here, but, too bad. Russell has scored over 30 points in 4 of the last 6 contests and has played his best basketball of the season during the OKC Thunder’s winning streak.

He has had success against both opponents already this season. Russell notched a triple double in the only game against Milwaukee. In two games against Dallas, he has averaged 27.5 points. It is safe to say that he is primed for another big stretch of games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Wow, that was hard to type.

All jokes aside, the Greek Freak has been a legitimate MVP candidate so far this season. He leads the team in scoring with an average of 29.5 points, while also grabbing a team-high 10.4 rebounds. He was stellar in his only game against OKC, scoring 28 points on only 14 attempts.

Harrison Barnes

The Dallas Mavericks have been struggling this season. They have only won 11 games and seem destined for the NBA Draft lottery. Despite the lack of wins, players like Harrison Barnes have had solid seasons. The former Golden State Warrior is leading the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game. I think there is a solid chance he has a good game against the OKC Thunder.

Jerami Grant

This weekend’s sleeper selection is the ever-exciting Jerami Grant. While his dunks and blocks are a thrill to watch, the OKC Thunder forward has quietly had a nice season. He averages 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds for this squad off the bench. If their is a bench player primed to go off this weekend, it’s Jerami Grant.
