As the OKC Thunder bring their season high six game win streak to the court they’ll face a team with huge expectations of their own, the Milwaukee Bucks.
OKC sit in fifth in the West. With Minnesota’s loss OKC are just 1.5 games out of moving into a coveted home court seed.
Often the net differential is the factor many scribes point to as a determinant for how well teams should do. Using that analogy the Thunder are on track with a plus 3.3 differential, just behind the Spurs plus 3.6 differential.
Although the OKC Thunder have shown massive improvements there remains key areas to fix. Of those the bench is a major concern. And, while the offense is improving dealing with clutch time and half court offense remains problematic. Rather, demonstrating consistency in these offensive situations is key to the OKC Thunder taking the next step up the ladder.
For now, the Thunder arrive to this game with about as much positivity as they’ve displayed all season. Translating that into yet another win over a solid team will be the expectation this evening.
Meanwhile the Milwaukee Bucks also sit in the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. The difference is the Bucks have a negative differential of minus 0.5 and are still trying to figure out how to translate their on paper talent into more wins. The Bucks did the Thunder a solid on Thursday, coming back from a 20 point deficit to beat the Wolves.
