Game day preview – OKC Thunder stay home to take on Mavericks
Projected Lineups
OKC Thunder Starters
Point Guard: Russell Westbrook
Shooting Guard: *Alex Abrines
Small Forward: **Josh Huestis
Power Forward: Carmelo Anthony
Center: Steven Adams
OKC Thunder Bench
Point Guard: Raymond Felton
Shooting Guard:
Small Forward: Jerami Grant
Power Forward: Patrick Patterson,
Center: Dakari Johnson, Nick Collison
Injury notes:
- Andre Roberson is listed as “Out” in the game notes with patellar tendinitis. Alex Abrines will likely get a starting nod once again due to a lack of wing depth – unless Billy Donovan manages to find a way to squeeze Patterson in instead. Perhaps by moving Melo to the 3 with PPat at the 4.
- Paul George is listed as “Out” again on game notes due to knee soreness. **Abrines replaced George in the last contest, but with Roberson also out, Huestis is likely to be inserted into the starting lineup. He started the second half against the Bucks following Abrines’ poor play.
- Given the lack of wing depth and uncertainty of Paul George being available to play Terrance Ferguson was recalled from the OKC Blue where he recently was sent to on assignment.
Dallas Mavericks Starters:
Point Guard: Dennis Smith Jr.
Shooting Guard: Wesley Matthews
Small Forward: Harrison Barnes
Power Forward: Dirk Nowitzki
Center: Maximillian Kleber
Dallas Mavericks Bench:
